Privacy and GDPR policy
Broken LCD turns a screen buyback flow into a clear, responsible and documented process.
Collected data
When you create a customer account or submit a buyback request we collect: email, name, company, phone number, postal address, password hash (we never store passwords in clear text), IBAN/BIC if you choose SEPA payout, order numbers, and Chronopost tracking history. No card payment data is processed by this site.
Processing purposes
Data is used to: process the buyback request, generate the delivery note and the Chronopost shipping label, settle payments (SEPA wire transfer or lcd-phone.com wallet credit), meet accounting obligations (invoices and ledgers), and send transactional emails (confirmations, status updates).
Legal basis
Processing relies on contract performance (GDPR art. 6.1.b), legal accounting obligations (art. 6.1.c), and our legitimate interest in shipment traceability, quality control and security (art. 6.1.f).
Processors
Your data is shared only with processors required to deliver the service: Chronopost SA (carriage and shipping label), Resend Inc (transactional email delivery), ImprovMX (forwarding of the contact@ inbox), Plausible Analytics (anonymous traffic analytics, no advertising tracker cookie), Hostinger International Ltd. (VPS hosting), and lcd-phone.com (manual wallet credit if you select this payout method). We never sell data to third parties.
Retention period
Customer accounts: kept while the account is active, then deleted three years after the last order. Orders and accounting records: kept ten years to comply with French accounting law. Technical logs: twelve months maximum.

You can exercise your rights to access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing and data portability at any time by writing to contact@broken-lcd.com from the email address linked to your account.
